The 5th Netcom 2009 on 8 March 2009 at Dataran Merdeka

The 5th Netcom was successfully carried out at Dataran Merdeka on 8 March 2009 with more than 120 participants both made up of Boy and Girl Scouts, the competition started from 700am till 500pm. This was organised by the Kelas Dataran Merdeka . The competition had a very good response from the particpants and everyone enjoyed themselves very much.

Please be informed The Kelas Dataran Merdeka is organising a Netcom progarmme, this will take place at Dataran Merdeka 8 March 2009 7.00 am to 5.00pm.

Please take note of the details as follows:-

NetKOM is an open program.

Participation in two categories namely "Berpatrol" dan "Beregu"Berpatrol within 8 to12 people and they pay RM3.00 per head.

Beregu are two people only and they pay RM5.00 per head.

Pengenalan Program

Program Navigasi, Peta dan Kompas ini atau kod panggilannya NetKOM adalah sebuah program bercorak orienteering dalam Bandar (Urban-Orienteering) yang melibatkan kemahiran pembacaan bearing dengan menggunakan kompas dan pembacaan peta topo.

Bermula pada tahun 2006, kini NetKOM telah menjadi antara program sehari Pengakap yang paling diminati di Kuala Lumpur kerana pendekatan konsep yang menguji kepantasan, kekuatan dan kecerdasan minda yang berkesan. Program ini hanya dianjurkan sebanyak 2 kali setahun.

NetKOM bermula pada jam 7:00 pagi dan berakhir pada jam 5:00 petang meliputi kawasan seluas 7 kilometer radius di sekitar bandaraya kuala lumpur melibatkan perjalanan sejauh 20km hingga 30km tertakluk kepada kaedah pengembaraan.

The Zon Bangsar Scouts had a small celebration of Founder's day at SK St John on 22/2/09. The afternoon was filled with BP Scouting Spirit accompanied with joy, fun, laughter and plenty of food. The event was attend by leaders from State and various districts. Although it was a small event, the partcipants did walk away with a good memory of the Founder's day and certainly are keen to organise a bigger one next year when the new Zone "Bangsar" is settled down and established.

Thanks to boys from 1stKL, 5th KL, 8thKL, 6th BB and 35thBB for their participation and the effort to come with the programme. In particular all the Girl Scouts with the traditional dances.

Kem Sikap Pengakap Raja 2009 - 21st to 22nd February 2009

The Kem Sikap for Zon Bangsar was succesfully carried out over the weekend from 21-22 Feb 2009 at SK St John. The Kem was attended by Scouts from a few schools and preapared themselves for the coming Pentarafan Pengakap Raja 2009 in March.

We would like to wish the boys all the best and many thanks to our ADC Latihan Mr Chai Jiun Huar to make this camp successful.
