NEW DEMARCATION OF SCOUTING DISTRICTS

With effect from 7 February 2009, PPMWPKL had decided to rezone the 11 Scouting District to 4 Districts (Zone). All the Scout Groups will have to register their groups under the new Zone and all the Number Kumpulan will be changed accordingly. All old troops established before 1974 will be entitiled to their old Number Kumpulan before WPKL is established. For example, Victoria Institution 1st Bukit Bintang will now be called 1st WP Kuala Lumpur. All groups established after 1974 will have to wait for the State to allocate a new Number Kumpulan for them. If you are uncertain of your new Number Kumpulan or not understand the new structure. Kindly contact PPMWPKL of PPM Daerah for further clarification.

The above changed is done due to the following reasons as explained by SC Mejar Mior Rosli :-

Oleh kerana pegerakan pengakap adalah berasaskan sekolah maka adalah wajar PPMWPKL mengikut Zon-Zon yang telah ditetapkan oleh Jabatan Pendidikan Wilayah Persekutuan. Ini akan memudahkan pentadbiran kumpulan-kumpulan Pengakap bergerak mengikut Zon-Zon masing-masing.

Jawatan-Jawatan baru Pesuruhjaya adalah seperti
berikut:

PesuruhjayaDaerah (Zon Keramat) - Encik Latiff
Pesuruhjaya Daerah (Zon Bangsar) - Encik Kenneth Soh
Pesuruhjaya Daerah (Zon Sentul) - Encik Chenteral
Pesuruhjaya Daerah (Zon Pudu) - Encik Saiful
